Awards and achievements of the educational program. Official state accreditation (2013) and professional-public accreditation (2015). It was recognized as the best educational program in 2012-2016. The teachers of the department published more than 600 works, in particular, more than 350 works in the leading Russian and foreign journals included in the world citation bases, Web of Science and Scopus, have got five patents of the Russian Federation and one patent of the USA.

Students' and alumni's achievements. Students are participants and winners of the UMNIK program, holders of the Russian Federation President scholarship and the grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation. The alumni include 19 Candidates of Sciences. Alumni hold managerial positions at education institutions of Stavropol and the Stavropol Territory; Stavropol Research Anti-Plague Institute; the NPK ESKOM pharmaceutical company, the Criminal Expertise Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory, and others.
