Teaching staff. The educational programs are implemented by 10 departments of the faculty. The employees of agro-industrial enterprises are engaged in teaching practice-oriented disciplines.

Academy partners within the educational program. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine starts cooperating with employers as part of career guidance in the regions which concluded agreements with the faculty for target enrollment of prospective students. This cooperation continues with the implementation of the teaching and educational process, and logically finishes with alumni employment and their further career growth.

The faculty developed an internship system based on mutual cooperation agreements with advanced agricultural enterprises, veterinary clinics and state organizations.

Alumni’s achievements. Alumni of the academy actively develop themselves in the professional environment, holding key managerial positions at federal ministries and public services, research institutes, universities and independent professional and business communities: E.A. Nepoklonov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, a holder of the title of Honored Veterinarian of the Russian Federation, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; A.V. Sautkin, Chairman of the Veterinary Committee of Moscow, Chief State Veterinary Inspector of Moscow, and others.

Facilities and resources. Practical classes are given by the department branches such as leading agro-industrial enterprises, laboratories of food safety, laboratoties of markets and livestock product processing enterprises. The faculty subdivisions are museums (the Museum of Anatomy, the Museum of Parasitology named after K.I. Skriabin, the Museums of Pathoanatomy, Pharmacology, Microbiology).

Opportunities for students. The faculty successfully implements student and staff mobility programs, international student exchange programs, participates in traveling seminars at the top foreign universities and centers for veterinary medicine and food safety.

Students, postgraduate students and staff of the faculty participate in all-Russian and international conferences, congresses, win research work contests of different levels, are grant holders and performers of sci-tech product creation agreements.

Employment prospects. Specialist in food safety management, at veterinary laboratories, bodies of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, security services, food safety laboratories, markets and industrial enterprises specializing in livestock product processing, production of veterinary drugs, feeds, equipment and tools for livestock breeding and medicine.
