Programme presentation. The Master’s programme “Integrated Management Systems” which trains highly qualified specialists using up-to-date IT (CAD/CAM/CAE/РDM/CALS), is relevant for Russian companies. Education and training is aimed at ensuring a fundamentally new quality of education due to the system integration of theory, experiment (experimental equipment and methods of experimental studies), experience and knowledge in related subject areas (education, production structures, innovation theory, intellectual property, electrical engineering) based on modelling and using up-to-date IT to enhance current educational programmes and to create new methodology of learning, including optimization of design and technological solutions, as well as the methods of their implementation in production and business management.

Masters should have such professional competencies as: ability to develop tools and systems for automation and control of processes, product life cycle and quality; ability to do patent research; ability to design architect and software complexes of automated and automatic control systems; to evaluate innovative potential of the project; to ensure reliability and security at all stages of product life cycle; ability to manage the creation of regulatory documents.

The programme is oriented to network cooperation with foreign universities. Since 2012 in cooperation with the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, the Chair has trained Masters in a double-degree programme. The Master’s programme implies several re-search trajectories.

Teaching staff. All teachers who deliver education in this area have academic degrees. Heads of the regional companies with an academic degree are involved in conducting complex lectures. Practical and laboratory classes in a number of disciplines are carried out at production facilities.

Interaction with employers. In cooperation with leading regional employers, the Chair has created joint laboratories and has carried out the targeted training of specialists.

Graduates are mainly employed at such companies as “Proton-PermskiyeMotory”, Perm Pulp and Paper Company, “Aviadvigatel”, branch “Permenergo” of JSC “MRSK Urala”, “LUKOIL”, etc.
