Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2018 and professional-public accreditation (certificate of the Leningrad Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry № 04/2020) in 2020. Students are winners of the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)-2018 championship, the contest "Instrument Engineering, Metrology, Information and Measuring Devices and Systems" for the best student research paper.
Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 71%. The teaching staff includes four Doctors of Engineering Sciences, one of whom is Honored Worker of Higher Education of the RF and a laureate of the Saint Petersburg Government Award, as well as ten Candidates of Engineering Sciences.
Facilities and resources. Well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art computer technology and multimedia equipment, including a laboratory of media technologies and CAD, a laboratory of computer simulation, a computing laboratory, a laboratory of information technologies, a laboratory of information and networking technologies.
Research. Digital image processing; multimedia technologies and virtual reality; computer control of nonlinear plants; computer simulation of control of mobile objects; simulation modeling of intelligent systems; digital signal processing; processing of fuzzy temporal information in relational databases; control of information and communications systems.
Education. Project-based learning, participation in Olympiads (IT Planet), contests (the Saint Petersburg Government Awards for graduation projects done by order of Saint Petersburg executive authorities), the Young Professionals (WorldSkills) movement, in international research conferences.
Strategic partners. Concern Granit-Electron, MEDIUS, Research Institute of Optoelectronic Instrument Making, Center for Computer Developments, Design Institute № 1, CS Information Technologies.
International projects and programs. The university cooperates with Changzhou Institute of Technology (China), Dell EMC Corporation.
