Programme presentation. The aim of the programmeis training competitive specialists for regional and federal sphere of political communication. Many graduates of the Institute work in their professional field in the administrative and legislative sphere, local bodies of Kaliningrad region, research and educational institutions, large-scale enterprises of this region and other Russia’s territories.

Since 2008, ImmanuelKantBalticFederalUniversity jointly with the university consortium has been implementing Erasmus Mundus, ’Aurora’, ’Trialogue’ students and teachers exchange programmes. Over 6 year time, 20 students and teachers of this study field have had 1 to 12 month internships and study visits in the partner universities.

Teaching staff. 90% of the teaching staff of the Political Science study programme are Doctors and Candidates of Sciences and visiting lecturers are heads of the specialized departments and public authorities in Kaliningrad Region. Master-classes are conducted by the leading Russian and foreign scholars and researchers in the field of political sciences, international relations, social and humanitarian technologies.

Competitiveness of students. Students have good opportunities to take part in inter-national summer schools for political studies, political and PR communications annually held at the University.

The Government of Kaliningrad Region, the administration of Kaliningrad Deputy Council, regional authorities, consulting and sociological institutions, committees of political parties and social associations, research institutions, analytical centres of this region and Russia make up quite an incomplete list of institutions where political scientists – graduates of the University are in demand.
