Programme presentation. The educational programme in “Philology” has been delivered in the University for more than 15 years. The area of training “Russian Philology” (the Russian Language and Literature) is implemented with an opportunity to continue education in Master’s programme or postgraduate programme.
Interactive forms of training are intensively used in the educational process. The class-room fund includes multimedia classrooms, a language laboratory and computer class-rooms. Also, the institute has in place the International training centre “Russian as a Foreign Language” which delivers various educational programmes for foreign students who study in SakhSU within academic mobility programmes. In this direction, the HEI closely cooperates with the
Teaching staff. About 90% of the teachers who deliver the educational programme have academic degrees and titles. The Scientific schools in the areas of: “History of Russian Literature”, “Cognitive Methods of Teaching Russian Language” and “The Theory of Literature” have been recently established at the Departments. Students take an active part in research and extracurricular activities of the University through participating in the research and practice conference “Student Readings” and taking part in various university contests. Philology students are regular participants and winners of the Open International Internet-Olympiad in the Russian language.
Interaction with employers. The annual satisfaction survey of the main employers showed that employers are highly appreciative of the level of SakhSU specialists’ training, their theoretical knowledge and practical skills as well as striving for self-improvement and professional development.
