Programme presentation. The Programme forms educational designing, academic and professional, research, organizational and technological competencies, which are necessary for successful professional activity. In 2013 the Programme was awarded a Quality Certificate, which confirms the independent evaluation of educational quality within the framework of the project “Federal Internet-Examination in Professional Education”. In 2013 the Programme was accredited by the National Centre for Public Accreditation.
Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University also offers a Master's program in Pedagogical Education.
Teaching staff. The teaching staff of the Department consists of experienced teachers (Professors S.M. Markova, T.V. Goncharenko, A.V. Lapshova, E.P. Sedykh, N.Y. Chernova, A.V.Hizhnaya, T.S. Yurtaeva) and representatives of partner-organizations (leading specialists in the field, research institutions, and social and educational centres). All the Department’s teachers completed training in: “Online Education Technologies: creation of training courses”, “Information and communication technologies in education”, “Information technologies for HEIs’ teachers”.
Competitiveness of students. Students actively participate in national research and practice conferences and national Olympiads in professional training.
Interaction with employers. Employers participate in the academic process and methodological conferences. Masters’ theses are developed on request of strategic partners (the children’s center “Olympiets”, Nizhny Novgorod Technical College of Municipal Service and Business, Professional Lyceum No.60, P.A. Semenov Sormovo Mechanical College, Secondary School No.106, Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College, Secondary School No.2, Dzerzhinsk Polytechnic College, Research Institute of Professional Pedagogical Education and Adult Development (St.ˇ Petersburg), Interschool Training School, Training College No.3, CJSC Research and Production Association “Consultant”, Nizhny Novgorod Civil Engineering College, the Russian State Professional Pedagogic University (Yekaterinburg).
