Awards and achievements of the educational program. International professional-public accreditation (2016).

North-Caucasus Federal University also offers a Master's program in Special (Defectological) Education.

Teaching staff. The educational program is implemented by 32 teachers including two Doctors of Sciences and 12 Candidates of Sciences, the employers’ representatives.

All the teachers annually participate in various intramural, intra-extramural and online professional development programs.

University partners within the educational program. General education institutions that teach and educate people with special healthcare needs, social rehabilitation institutions: the StavropolRehabilitationCenter for Children and Adolescents with Special Healthcare Needs; Kindergarten No.29 and Secondary School No.21 of Stavropol, and others.

The university maintains business relationships with top Russian and foreign universities: Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, MoscowStatePedagogicalUniversity (Russia), University of Manitoba (Canada), University of Oxford (Great Britain), and others.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Thanks to good competence in defectology, state-of-the-art innovation technologies for modeling special and inclusive educational conditions, alumni are in great demand on the labor market. All graduates of 2016 were employed within their degree field. Students regularly participate in university, interuniversity and all-Russian olympiads.

Facilities and resources. The university has lecture halls and classrooms for laboratory and practical classes of all types, including the Logopediya specialized laboratory with required equipment; electronic educational resources which are stored on the university’s educational servers. Students can benefit from using sports complexes, a research library, refectories, a healthcare center, dormitories. There is a special learning environment for students with special healthcare needs.

Opportunities for students. Students undertake educational internship and work placement at various institutions of education, healthcare and social protection. Students have an opportunity to study according to individual education plans, to develop and enrich their educational background, participate in academic exchange programs implemented by the university.
