Teaching staff. Training is provided by the teaching staff including five Doctors of Sciences and 36 Candidates of Sciences. The teachers regularly improve their qualification.
University partners within the educational program. The oil and gas companies such as NK Rosneft, Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, LUKOIL, Surgutneftegaz, Slavneft-Megionneftegaz; the SIBUR Holding gas processing and petrochemical company, the Schlumberger oilfield services company, the Baker Hughes oil and gas service company, the Siberian Research and Analysis Center, Sberbank of Russia, Zapsibkombank, Eurasia Drilling Company, the Department for Transport and Communications of the Tyumen Administration, the Tyumengortrans transportation company.
Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Students take an active part in various contests and events. Senior students O. Burakova, D. Karmanov and A. Fadiushin won the grant of the Tyumen Administration in 2017. They will cooperate with the Public Chamber of Tyumen for Road Safety and Effectiveness of Public Transport. Students of the department annually become winners and prize winners of graduation theses contests.
Facilities and resources. Students can benefit from 14 student associations, over 100 studios, clubs and on-stage performance groups, 32 specialized sports clubs. The university has developed the system for searching and supporting young talents. Students in need receive targeted and social aid. The university has 13 comfortable dormitories.
The department has a sufficient number of well-equipped classrooms for all kinds of classes, uses the PTV and Aimsun hardware and software transport planning systems as well as laboratories of transport simulation, transportation safety and a portable laboratory for traffic flow parameter checkout.
Opportunities for students. Internship is undertaken in the university laboratories and at transport and logistics enterprises of the Tyumen Region with state-of-the-art processing equipment. Students can undertake their internship according to an individual plan. Apart from doing production tasks, students can participate in or independently arrange scientific and research experiments related to a creative part of their graduation thesis.
Students have an opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs.
