Programme presentation. Russian Gnessin’s Academy of Music trains masters of the specialty “Vocal Art”. The Academy places particular emphasis on perfecting professional skills in concert performance of musical compositions, teaching specialized educational disciplines, designing study programmes, and students’ research activity. Students participate in research activity during the entire study process, which helps musicians to master methods of searching and processing information, evaluating scientific and practical relevance of research work, using the results of their research in professional activity.

The material and technical equipment of classrooms complies with the established standards. The Academy has 17 specialized classrooms for individual and practical work. The library and record stock of the Programme is regularly renewed and updated and supplied with new printed publications, audio- and video recordings. Russian Gnessin’s Academy of Music is supplied with the up-to-date audio-video recording equipment, which guarantees high quality recording of concerts in the Academy’s halls.

Competitiveness of students is determined by a number of criteria, one of them is practical skills of students. In the course of study students undertake pedagogical and performance internship in organizations, which signed partnership agreements with the Academy (The Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Interior Troops of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation, V.A. Sudakov Moscow State Concert Theatrical Choir). Students of the Vocal Faculty conduct private tuition with students of the pedagogical sector of different ages.

Interaction with employers. Strong partnership connections with a number of organizations, which work in the field of culture and art, guarantee rapid and easy employability of the Academy’s graduates. The list of partners of Russian Gnessin’s Academy of Music includes Moscow State Musical Theatre “Helikon-Opera”, the G. and A. Pirogovs Ryazan Musical College. The graduates of the Faculty work in the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre and philharmonics of Russian cities.
