The Institute has in place many creative studios: “Metal Craft and Artistic Enamelling”, “Artistic Working-Up of Leather and Fabric Objects”, “Artistic Objects from Bone and Stone”, “Artistic Painting of Fabric”, “The Ethnic Doll”, “Graphics in Decorative and Applied Art”, “Interior”, etc.
The graduates create expressive works of art and have a high professional level of technical mastery. They are demanded as designers and artists of decorative and applied art in the artistic and technological production of folk craft companies, and apply their knowledge in pedagogical and research activity.

Students successfully present their creative and research works at national and international exhibitions, contests and annual research and practical conferences “Days of Youth Innovation”. Students are involved in designing and manufacturing products on orders. Master’s degree students often undergo an internship in the HEI and become teachers of the University.
Interaction with employers. Students acquire deep theoretical knowledge in the field of design and technology of applied art products and have a unique opportunity to put their creative ideas into life in workshops of stone and bone carving, mosaic, weaving, jeweller workshops, etc.
