Achievements. In 2019 the teachers won the all-Russian professional contest for directors of nursing.
Graduates are heads of the nursing service and carry out organizational and academic activities at top health care institutions of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region.
Teaching staff. Over 72% of teachers have academic degrees, titles and long-term work experience in practical healthcare.
Facilities and resources. The faculty applies E-learning tools and distance education technologies, synchronous and/or asynchronous E-learning technologies.
A specialized computer classroom is equipped with a flipbox (multifunctional display), there is a virtual campus, and each student is authorized to use E-learning resources of the Nursing Care program.
Research. The teachers participate in international conferences, study current issues in theory and methodology of professional training in the field of higher nursing education, development of methodological support for students’ educational internships and work placements.
Education. The educational process is based on the blended learning model with combined use of conventional pedagogical methods and technologies along with software training and monitoring programs. The university successfully applies interactive forms of practical classes using simulation methods and case study, brainstorming, author's video lectures recorded by leading university teachers and placed in the electronic information educational environment of the university. Practical skills are consolidated at the multidisciplinary accreditation and simulation center. The university created an organizational and pedagogical environment for developing research skills and inclusive culture of students.
Strategic partners. The Ministry of Healthcare of the Sverdlovsk Region, Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital № 1, the Palliative Care Center, Central City Hospital № 2 named after A.A. Mislavsky, etc.
Competitive advantages. Higher nursing education develops professional erudition in the field of nursing care development, readiness to manage innovative processesat a medical institution and teachmedical staff, creates a high level of information and communication and research culture, competitive advantages and professional mobility at work.
Graduates can pursue a Master’s degree in Public Healthcare.
