Achievements and awards. The university research groups annually win grants of different levels such as the grants of the President of the Russian Federation, grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, etc.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 103 Sc.D.-s and 364 PhD-s. The teaching staff includes four experts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, two members of expert councils of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, 22 academicians, Corresponding Members and Professors of 15 international, foreign and Russian civic academies, 24 Honored Doctors of the RF.
Facilities and resources. Training is provided at 47 clinical departments, in 16 academic buildings and at 1,166 medical institutions that concluded agreements with the university for giving specialized practical classes.
Research. The university has well-developed facilities and resources for research including the central research laboratory, the clinical research center of hematology, oncology and immunology, a vivarium, the training operating room WetLab; the state-of-the-art accreditation and simulation center.
Education. Diversification of areas of educational services, expansion of the range of paramedical study areas (high-tech applications, practical training); unique three-level training system (from in vitro level to surgical simulators and to the WetLab operating theater); development of a personalized educational path system at all education levels; modernization of “classical medical” education through the system of synergetic combination with an opportunity to establish new departments, laboratories, research centers.
Strategic partners. The university actively cooperates with well-known foreign and Russian HEIs and research institutions specializing in various areas including the institutions that conduct clinical studies.
International projects and programs. The faculty develops international relations as part of cooperation with partners for academic student and staff mobility under IFMSA-HCCM programs.
Competitive advantages. The main competitive advantage is a high level of graduates’ competence. The educational process is based on three pillars: transparency, inspection and adaptation.
