Teaching staff. The program is delivered by the highly qualified teaching staff of 39 departments. 182 teachers out of 271 have academic degrees or titles including 45 teachers who are Doctors of Sciences. Among them are board certified doctors, Excellent Workers of Public Health, laureates of the Award of the Government of the Russian Federation, Honored Science Workers of the RF, Honored Doctors of the RF, etc.
Facilities and resources. The faculty has a sufficient number of facilities and resources, teaching and learning materials, a necessary licensed software, and the electronic library system. The library is fully stocked with printed publications. The clinical facilities located at 32 medical institutions of Voronezh are also at the faculty's disposal.
Students undertake work placement at the medical treatment and preventive care institutions that are part of the university's clinical facilities, but the main facility is the Territorial Directorate of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing and the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Voronezh Region. The laboratory center comprises 11 different laboratories and a vivarium. The laboratories have modern equipment and comply with international requirements. Research is performed using rather sophisticated physicochemical, toxicological, virological methods.
Research. The university carries out multidisciplinary and comprehensive research. Research is performed in the field of risk assessment of the impact of environmental factors on health; ensuring population safety; prevention and treatment of numerous diseases, patient rehabilitation, etc.
Students are members of the student scientific society, participate in student olympiads, interuniversity scientific and practical conferences for students, postgraduate students and young scientists, interregional scientific and practical conferences.
Education. Teaching methods include multimedia technologies, business games, audio- and video recordings, video filming with subsequent demonstration and analytical review.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Faculty of Preventive Medicine of Ryazan State Medical University named after academician I.P. Pavlov and Yaroslavl State Medical University.
