Awards and achievements of the educational program. International professional-public accreditation (Certificate 1341-08-A022.1 of March 21, 2014).

Russian Gnessin Academy of Music offers some more best educational programs in the field of Culture and Arts.

Teaching staff. The highly qualified staff of the Department of Brass Wind Instruments provides high-quality and all-round training for students. The professor staff include renowned professionals, musicians well-known in the country and abroad whose names are associated with modern Russian performance schools. The staff of the department include six Professors, holders of the title of Honored Artists of Russia V.M. Prokopov, L.D. Belenov, L.Ya. Melnikov, V.S. Shish, V.M. Pushkarev, V.H. Shkolnik, Honored Cultural Workers of the Russian Federation, laureates of all-Russian and international competitions.

Academy partners within the educational program. Gnessin Moscow Specialized Secondary Music School (College), Moscow State Institute of Music named after A.G. Schnittke, Moscow Children’s Music School named after V.M. Blazhevich, State Academy (College) of Wind Band Art.

The department cooperates with the orchestra of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the State Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Russia named after E.F. Svetlanov, the Bolshoi Symphonic Orchestra named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, the Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Moscow Philharmonic Society, the Russian Philharmonic Society Orchestra, the A.V. Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army, the Central Military Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Moscow State Academic Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of Pavel Kogan, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater, the Moscow Musical Theater Helikon-Opera, the Novaya Opera Moscow Theater.

Alumni’s achievements. Alumni of the department are employed by the best symphonic and wind band orchestras of Russia. The employment rate is 100%. The alumni include more than 120 laureates of all-Russian and international competitions. Over the last year the department has trained eight laureates (II All-Russian Music Competition, November, 2016).

Facilities and resources. The academy accommodates its students in the dormitory equipped with rehearsal rooms, a gym and an auditorium. The academy has all necessary instruments and technical equipment, a sufficient number of educational materials, computers, a reading room, a good library and a record library related to the educational program, which are regularly replenished and completed with new print media, audio and video recordings.

Opportunities for students. Students undertake their teaching internship at Moscow Children’s Music School named after V.M. Blazhevich, Gnessin Moscow Specialized Secondary Music School, State Academy of Brass Wind Art, Moscow State Institute of Music named after A.G. Schnittke. Students of the department give concerts in other cities every month. They have already visited Tver, Ryazan, Vladimir, Cheboksary, Yoshkar-Ola, Rostov-on-Don, Kirov, Volgograd. Concerts are given at colleges and universities.

Employment prospects. Ensemble performer, orchestra performer, teacher, director of on-stage performance groups.
