Awards and achievements of the educational program. International professional-public accreditation (Certificate 1341-08-A022.1 of March 21, 2014)

Russian Gnessin Academy of Music offers some more best educational programs in the field of Culture and Arts.

Teaching staff. A number of special courses are taught by two departments of Solo Singing. High-quality training is provided by vocal art specialists including nine Professors, 11 Associate Professors, one Candidate of Sciences, 19 holders of the titles of People’s and Honored Artists of the Russian Federation, four Honored Art Workers and Cultural Workers of the Russian Federation. The teachers give classes in solo and chamber singing, give lectures in major fields of History of Vocal Art and Vocal Training Methods, supervise degree works.

Academy partners within the educational program. Opera and musical theaters: the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater, the Novaya Opera Moscow Theater named after E.V. Kolobov.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Master’s degree students perform both concert and research activities preparing for a Master’s thesis defense. The best students annually participate in research conferences, master classes, international singing competitions in Russia and abroad. Many alumni are laureates and award winners of all-Russian and international competitions of vocalists, are employed by opera and musical theaters of the country. Some of them successfully work abroad (in Germany, France, Italy, etc.) Some alumni perform pedagogical activities at secondary music educational institutions.

Facilities and resources. The material and technical equipment of 17 specialized classrooms for individual and practical classes complies with the established standards. The library and record library fund is regularly completed with new printed media, audio and video recordings. The academy has six concert halls. State-of-the-art recording and video equipment ensures high quality recording of concerts.

Opportunities for students. The best students undertake their performance internship in musical and opera theaters of Moscow with further employment opportunities. The Opera Studio Theater named after Yu.A. Speransky provides practical training for students (more than 20 opera performances annually). Graduates can be employed by the organizations that have signed agreements with the academy: the Moscow Music Theater Helikon-Opera, the Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Moscow State Opera and Ballet Theater for Young Audience named after Natalia Sats, the State Chapel of Moscow named after V.A. Sudakov.

Employment prospects. Concert and chamber singer, teacher, director of on-stage performance groups.
