Awards and achievements of the educational program. The program underwent international professional-public accreditation.

Russian Gnessin Academy of Music offers some more best educational programs in the field of Culture and Arts.

Teaching staff. High-quality training is provided by the skilled teaching staff: 16 Professors, 13 Associate Professors and Candidates of Art Criticism, eight holders of the title of Honored Art Workers and Workers of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, four laureates of the National Award and the Moscow Government Award. They include K.E. Volkov, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, a laureate of the National Award; A.I. Golovin, a laureate of the Moscow Government Award; Honored Art Workers of the Russian Federation A.L. Larin, V.V. Piankov, V.B. Dovgan. All teachers are members of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation.

Academy partners within the educational program. The teachers of the department are invited professors at KoreaUniversity (South Korea), Paris Regional Conservatory (France), Emory Universityin Atlanta (USA), and other. They participate in the jury of the AntonínDvořák International Competition of Young Composers (South Korea, the Czech Republic), the international competition festival “Renaissance” (Armenia), the all-Russian competitions “Choral Laboratory. XXI Century,” “Young Classics,” etc.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. In 2016 fifteen students were awarded honorary grants of the Moscow Composers’ Union. Young authors regularly participate in international, all-Russian and regional competitions of composers. The student Mariia-LidiiaKoshevaia (the third place) became a laureate of the AntonínDvořák International Competition of Composers (South Korea, the Czech Republic).

Most alumni are employed at music educational institutions in Moscow, Russia and abroad (the USA, South Korea, Mongolia, China, Switzerland, Poland).

Facilities and resources. The university has all required technical equipment and a sufficient number of educational materials, computers, a reading room, a good library, a record library related to the educational program. There is a well-equipped dormitory.

Opportunities for students. Students take an active part in preparation and organization of chamber concerts of the Premier Evenings cycle (4-5 concerts per season), symphonic concerts (two concerts per year), participate in concert programs of the Moscow Composers’ Union, Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, music colleges and institutes of Moscow. Teaching internship is undertaken at children’s music school and children’s schools of art in Moscow and the Moscow Region. Students attend lectures and master classes given by foreign specialists (from Germany, France, the USA, etc.) and go abroad as part of the international exchange program. Students can join the student research and artistic associations.
