Programme presentation. The study programme educates and trains specialists skilled in methods of creating, using and diagnosing contemporary technological equipment. The programmes’ graduates are also competent in means of design, calculation, math-matical, physical and computer modeling of technological equipment.

The programme covers five specializations: “Equipment of Oil and Gas Processing”, “Equipment and Robot Technology of Polymer and Composite Materials”, “Design and Diagnostics of Chemical Technological Equipment”, “Technological Equipment of Chemical and Petrochemical Industry”, “Computer Modeling of Technological Equipment and Parts for Polymer Machinery Engineering”. Full-time and part-time training isavailable. During the academic process and in the course of developing graduation the students have an opportunity to use modern equipment, devices, simulators and pilot techno-logical devices. Computer laboratories are equipped with up-to-date software packages: AutoDesk, Inventor, AspenONE Engineering, ArchiCAD. The Institute’s official web-site contains all the methodological materials, which are necessary for mastering the programme.

Teaching staff. The programme is delivered by highly qualified teachers, who have scientific degrees. Teachers of major departments combine teaching and research activity, design and engineering work in the field of chemical technological processes and their hardware provision.

Competitiveness of students. The average State Examination grade for the programme applicants is high enough. Students participate in regional and federal Olympiads in the field of resistance of materials, theoretical and applied mechanics. Students undertake internship in the leading enterprises of the North-West region: LLC “Manufacturing Group Kirishinefteorgsintez”, OJSC “Acron”, LLC “Kronshtadt”, “Engel” (Austria), KOCH TECHNIK (Germany), JSC “Eximpack”, LLC “Polytechnika”.

Interaction with employers. The faculty’s graduates are employed in mechanical departments of chemical, petrochemical, refinery and machinery engineering enterprises.
