Programme presentation. Students of the Programme “Rail Rolling Stock” get high-quality applied higher education; acquire specific knowledge, skills and abilities. Students study the basics of construction, principles of design, calculation of rolling stock construction, on-board and train equipment systems. The Programme’s students acquire knowledge in the sphere of advanced technologies of operating, diagnosing, servicing and repairing rolling stock, controlling the technical condition of rolling stock for the purpose of improving transport competitiveness.

In order to assure high quality academic process the University has in place up-to-date laboratory complexes, simulation systems, computer classrooms and specialized lecturing rooms.

The University cooperates with HEIs of Germany, France, Great Britain, China and other countries. Teachers from foreign partner HEIs are involved in public lecturing and master-classes.

Teaching staff. Teaching is performed by highly-qualified teaching staff – academicians, professors, Doctors and Candidates of Sciences, internationally recognized researchers and founders of scientific schools.

Competitiveness of students. Best students have the possibility to take externship in foreign HEIs or study in the framework of academic exchange programmes and the programmes combining work and study. The University and the Institute have partner relation with European HEIs: Germany (AugsburgHigherTechnicalSchool); Asia (SeoulNationalUniversity); leading companies of Russia, Germany, France, USA, Switzerland, Poland (Siemens, Alstom, Timken, Rafamet, Kamax and other). The University has developed joint research projects in cooperation with European and Russian companies and HEIs.

Interaction with employers. Every year the Institute receives requests from transport companies for employment of the graduates. This is why the Institute’s students are employed after graduation and have prospects for advancement. Graduates work in Moscow and central part of the Russian Federation – in railway companies, metro service, engineering companies, research and design organizations of different industrial sectors of Russian and foreign countries.
