Programme presentation. The basic field of activity of bachelors in “Information and Computer Science” is developing applied and system software in technical, economic and social systems.

The educational process is provided with up-to-date study and laboratory facilities, which includes: the unified corporate information system, the internet network with 3ˇfast data-transfer channels, 10 multimedia computer classrooms; licensed software: database management systems MS SQL Server, software-development kits MS Visual Studio. NET, Delphi, Java 2 SDK; packet for object modelling and development IBM Rational Rose and others. The University’s library has technical capacities for digitization of basic library and necessary conditions for its storing and using.

In 2014, the Programme was successfully accredited for the term of 6 years.

Teaching staff. The Programme’s teaching staff consists of 25 teachers of the University of Management “TISBI”. The Programme’s teaching staff includes: Doctors of Sciences – 12%, PhDs – 84%. The Faculty considers training employees of partner-organizations to be a very important matter.

The teachers of the major Department of Information Technologies are internationally certified for teaching the Programme; they participate in national and international research and practice conferences. Some of them are awarded the title of Honoured worker of the HigherSchool of the Russian Federation.

Competitiveness of students. In 2012, the University of Management “TISBI” founded the CiscoNetworkAcademy. Students undergo additional training by the international programme of network technologies of the specialty “IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software”. After completing the course, the students are awarded international certificates: CompTIAA+ (support specialist of basic level).

The Faculty’s graduates are required in information centres of state and commercial banks, investment and joint stock companies; in companies, which develop, implement and support information systems; in state and private organizations and enterprises, which use computers.

Interaction with employers. Major partners of the Programme are Russian IT-companies OJSC “ICL-KPO VS” and LLC “IntelCom”, which signed partnership agreements with the University.
