Achievements. The young researcher got the Russian Federation scholarship (2019-2021) for the project "Leaky Gut Syndrome and Style of Nutrition in Autism as Factors of Nutritional and Psychoneurological Status Disorders" funded by the Grant Council.
Teaching staff. The faculty comprises 11 departments. Eighty-eight disciplines within the program are taught at 46 departments, by 417 teachers (including practical healthcare workers), 59 of whom are Doctors of Sciences and 203 are Candidates of Sciences. Among them are Honored Workers of Higher Education of the RF, Honored Science and Education Workers of the Russian Academy of Natural History, Honored Physicians of the RF, Excellent Workers of Public Health.
Facilities and resources. VSMU has its clinic – Voronezh Children's Hospital. Students acquire practical skills using the simulators at the multidisciplinary accreditation and simulation center as well.
Research. There is a dissertation council for defending Doctor's and PhD theses in 14.01.08 Pediatrics (Medical Sciences).
Two Candidate of Medical Sciences theses were defended in 2020. There are scientific schools on pediatric nephrology, neonatology, pediatric pulmonology, applied morphology to study radiation factors. The study is conducted on one of the three topics of state assignments for VSMU – Creation of the system of early detection and prevention of renal injury in children with obesity of different etiology". The departments of inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, histology, and anatomic pathology are leaders in publication activities in the journals included in international citation databases Scopus/WoS.
Education. There is a single information learning management system TANDEM. University, distance learning using Moodle and Webinar platforms, the textbook lending service "student's electronic shelf." Students get personal scholarships for academic and research achievements.
Strategic partners. Cooperation within the East-European Research and Education Medical Cluster in the Central Federal District, with pediatrics faculties of medical universities in the CIS countries, Charité - Medical University of Berlin.
International projects and programs. International clinical studies (4th phase) in the field of pediatrics. Public educational events dedicated to World Kidney Day with registration on the international interactive map.
Competitive advantages. The university's clinical facilities include multidisciplinary healthcare organizations in Voronezh, Charité clinic, Harbin Medical University (China).
