Awards and achievements. The educational program was ranked many times among Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
Teaching staff. The Faculty of Pharmacy comprises 13 departments. 70% of teachers have academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. The degree-granting departments are the Department of Dosage Form Technology, the Department of Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Department of Pharmacognosy, the Department of Pharmaceutical Management and Economics, the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology.
Facilities and resources. The university established the GMP training center based on the principle of modular systems (“a room in a room”) with a set of engineering systems and industrial testing equipment for practical courses and workshops. The university also has a resource-sharing center, a pharmacology research center, a pharmaceutical quality control center, a medicinal plant nursery.
Research is conducted in the field of pharmaceutical product development, pharmaceutical, chemical and toxicological and phytochemical analysis methods, exploratory development of new medicines, study and analysis of pharmacoeconomic aspects of drug supply, pediatric and hospital pharmacy.
Education. The Moodle learning management system is used for performance and monitoring of students' independent work and continuous assessment of their knowledge. New materials are updated and added, taking into account the changes in steering documents.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with pharmacy chains such as Saint Petersburg Pharmacies, Nevis, Ozerki, Ercapharm, Fialka, Lenpharm, Pharmacy Chain 36.6, pharmacies of medical institutions, the analytical laboratory in the Leningrad Region, companies such as BIOCAD, Solopharm, Polysan, Vertex, Microgen, and others.
International projects and programs. The university is a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). It maintains close professional relationships with global pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Тakeda, Novartis.
Competitive advantages. The faculty is the leader in Russian pharmacy education. Graduates are in high demand in the labor market. The university has a well-developed system of continuing pharmaceutical education and delivers CPE programs.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. The languages of instruction are Russian, English, French. International students are accommodated in a dormitory.
