Achievements and awards. In 2016 the program successfully underwent international professional-public accreditation carried out by the National Centre for Public Accreditation (Certificate № 1341-08-А046.1).
Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly professional teaching staff. The academic degree holders rate is over 82%. Many teachers (20%) are practitioners.
Facilities and resources. The university classrooms are equipped in accordance with the current requirements. The department organizes traveling practical seminars in production laboratories of enterprises and partner universities.
Research. The teachers conduct practical research in the field of development and design of quality management systems at food industry enterprises.
Education. The teachers actively use the following technologies for effective learning: workshops and playing technique, case study, e-learning, interactive practical research training, interactive lectures, business games, project implementation, distance technologies. For students with disabilities, adaptive educational technologies and models are applied.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the leading food industry enterprises of the Mari El Republic. The program partners are Bauman Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, the
Competitive advantages. The university provides practice-oriented classwork and out-of-class work for students. They undertake their work placement at organizations with highly qualified workforce capacity and scientific and technological potential. Students annually participate in scientific events of different levels: the International contest of university groups BEST UNIVERSITY GROUP – 2018, the All-Russian student forum "Engineers are the Future of Russian Innovative Economy," the International scientific and practical conference "Science in the Contemporary Society," the all-Russian scientific and practical conference "Quality Management in Education and Industry," etc. A high level of competence allows students not only to participate in these events, but also to become winners. Since 2015 it has become a tradition for the faculty to hold seminars with the participation of food industry practitioners of the Mari El Republic, the Directorate of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection for the Mari El Republic, and other organizations.
