Achievements and awards. The university’s participation in the Federal Internet Exam for Bachelors in State and Municipal Management in 2016-2018 resulted in three gold certificates, five silver and seven bronze certificates.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by two PhDs Habil., five PhDs and three industry experts from state and municipal institutions. Among the achievements of the teaching staff are the victories in the All-Russian contest for the best scholarly book and in the contest "Golden Names of Higher School."

Facilities and resources. The university has sufficient resources for the educational process: students have an opportunity to use the media hall and computer classrooms.

Research. The teachers of the department conduct research on the topic "Power and Society: Foundations of Interaction" tracking the evolution of interaction between state authorities and public institutions both in historical retrospective and in current social context.

Education. During classroom studies the teachers use problem-based learning strategies, case methods, hold project seminars.

Strategic partners. StateUniversity of Humanities and Social Studies has strong academic relations with LomonosovMoscowStateUniversity, State University of Management, PlekhanovRussianUniversity of Economics. The university actively develops international cooperation with the universities of Belarus, Hungary, and Poland.

International programs and projects. Within the program of academic mobility initiative students can take a semester course study at IstvánSzéchenyiUniversity (Győr, Hungary) and at HarbinNormalUniversity (China).

Competitive advantages. The faculty implements a practice-oriented approach to teaching. Perspective civil service employees visit the State Duma, the Federation Council, and the Moscow Region Duma and meet lawmakers. Students undertake their internships at the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Government of Moscow Region, and municipal administration bodies. Students actively participate in all-Russian and regional contests. They many times got the Award of the Governor of the Moscow Region (E. Sukhoruchenkova in 2014, M. Skotnikov in 2015, 2016, 2018). In 2016 M. Skotnikov became a laureate of the international contest of communication projects of the Eventiada Awards.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. Foreign students and teachers are supported by International Exchange Officer of the university and the head of the RussianLanguageTestingCenter for International Visitors.
