Awards and achievements of the educational program. This educational program underwent both state and public accreditation and is listed in the Best Educational

Programs of Innovative Russia. The State University of Humanities and Social Studies is included in the list of 150 HEIs delivering legal education of high quality.

State University of Humanities and Social Studies offers two more best educational programs in the field of Humanities:

PSYCHOLOGY - Bachelor’s program

LINGUISTICS - Bachelor’s program

Teaching staff. The faculty employs 29 educators including academic staff holding the Doctor of Sciences degree (22%) and the Candidate of Sciences degree (66%). The teaching process involves heads and experienced officers of legal organizations (at least 7% of the staff).

University partners within the educational program.VitebskStateUniversity named after P.M. Masherov, the Election Committee of the Moscow Region, municipal authorities of Kolomna, the Intermunicipal Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kolomna, the Office of the Federal Bailiff’s Service for the Moscow Region, the Kolomna municipal court, the Kolomna branch of the Moscow Region’s bar association, etc.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Students regularly take part in contests and olympiads in legal disciplines. In 2016 eight students became prize winners of the national legal olympiads and contests. Over 80% of graduates get employed in accordance with their background education. The faculty’s alumni include federal judges and justices of the peace, heads of municipalities in the Moscow Region, many of them work as notaries, lawyers in legal departments of municipal authorities of cities and districts of the Moscow Region, in the prosecution service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, or private lawyers.

Facilities and resources. The campus comprises two dormitories, two sports grounds, academic buildings, four gym halls, a media room, a medical station. The classrooms are fitted with the state-of-the-art multimedia equipment, computer classrooms have internet and e-library access. The faculty features one of the best forensics laboratories, a laboratory for trace evidence analysis, a media hall and a hall for training court hearings.

Opportunities for students. Law students can choose a placement for their practical training. Senior students may practically apply their knowledge giving legal consultations to people in the studentCenter of Legal Protection of the State University of Humanities and Social Studies. Students take part in performance groups and creative teams, participate in festivals and sessions of the Club of the Funny and Inventive (the KVN). The best graduates get an opportunity to take a free Master’s degree study course at HarbinNormalUniversity (China).

Employment prospects. Lawyer, public sector employee, law enforcement officer, attorney, notary, judge assistant, judge, legal advisor, investigator, prosecution officer.
