Awards and achievements of the educational program. This educational program was top ranked within the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia in 2011-2016.

Teaching staff. The academic staff of the university include nationally recognized educators awarded honorary titles for their professional achievements: 20 Honored Doctors of the Russian Federation, four Honored Workers of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, 32 Professors Emeritus of Kursk State Medical University.

On the whole, 70.1% of the faculty staff hold academic degrees and/or titles. Top managers and experienced employees of relevant institutions work at the faculty as visiting lecturers.

University partners within the educational program. The Committee for Healthcare of the Kursk Region, the Departments of Healthcare of the Bryansk and Belgorod Regions, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University, Herzen University, Sechenov University, Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University, Belgorod National Research University and other HEIs, ökids and the Institute of Further Education in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (Vienna, Austria), the Institute of Existence and Analytical Psychology and Psychotherapy, the International Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (Vienna, Austria). The university has agreements on cooperation with HEIs in Gomel (Belorussia), Yerevan (Armenia), and Harbin (China).

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Prominent alumni of the faculty include O.A. Vlasova, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Philosophy of Saint Petersburg State University; V.A. Sotnikov, Head of Sheredar charitable foundation for the rehabilitation of children who suffered serious diseases, Expert of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Research work is supported with grants awarded by the President of the Russian Federation (A.V. Selin, Associate Professor, and V.A. Sotnikov, a postgraduate student, 2011), the Russian Foundation for Humanities (the staff of the Department of General and Clinical Psychology, 2014-2016, 2015-2017). Students enrolled in the faculty are awarded scholarships of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.

Facilities and resources. Non-resident students are accommodated at six dormitories. The university has five sports halls, a gym and three open playgrounds. All the lecture rooms, classrooms and laboratories are adequately equipped. There are 16 display classrooms where state-of-the-art equipment is intensively used in the educational process. The center of accreditation and simulating learning and teaching is also involved in learning.

There are four research institutes operating at the university. In 2016 a university representative office was established in Malaysia.

Opportunities for students. Students undergo their practical training at healthcare organizations in Kursk. Students can choose to study in depth the issues of health and sports psychology, pathopsychological diagnostics and psychotherapy, neuropsychological rehabilitation and rehabilitation training.
