Teaching staff. The quality of teaching is ensured by highly qualified teaching staff, 82% of them hold academic degrees of Candidates and Doctors of Sciences. Some of them are awarded the title of Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation. The staff of the department take an active part in national and international research conferences. The leading teachers act as opponents during the defenses of theses in law. They are members of public councils in the Government of the KhabarovskTerritory and the Ministry of the Russian Federation on the Development of the Far East.

For the past three years the department has published five monographs, many textbooks and manuals for students. Practicing lawyers and top managers of the legal institutions are also involved in the teaching process.

Institute partners within the educational program. The department actively cooperates with the Arbitrary Court and the Public Prosecutor’s office of the KhabarovskTerritory, the administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the KhabarovskTerritory, the Government and the Administration of Khabarovsk, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights and other institutions and legal entities.

Students’ achievements. Over the past decade, students of the institute won numerous regional and national contests in research including the contest “My Lawmaking Initiative” (Moscow) and others.

Graduates work as assistant judges, state servants, investigating officers, corporate legal advisers, real estate consultants, entrepreneurs.

Facilities and resources. The modern level of academic and laboratory facilities ensures high quality training of law specialists. Students have access to library facilities and resources. The institute offers students e-library educational resources and the legal systems such as Consultant Plus, Garant, Codex, the e-copies of the teachers’ research works, which are available from any computer at the institute.

Opportunities for students. Practical classes are conducted both at the institute laboratories and at different enterprises and organizations of Khabarovsk. Students can obtain additional qualification of an interpreter in the sphere of professional communication or an interpreter tour guide.
