Programme presentation. In the frameworks of the educational programme “Information and Computer Science” the Faculty trains students in the sphere of production and operation of computing machinery and systems, hardware and software systems based on controllers, computer networks in organizations of different sectors.
The educational process is provided with the necessary material and technical resources: 11 computer classrooms are equipped with the latest technology; departments have 15 academic and research laboratories with computing facilities. The Faculty founded a special laboratory of periodic and first editions in computer equipment and technologies.
The Faculty maintains close cooperation with a number of HEIs and research institutions of Russia (the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Program Systems Institute of RAS and others).
Teaching staff. Experienced and qualified teachers provide a high level of training. The teaching staff comprises 9 Doctors of Science and 33 Candidates of Science including five Honoured Scientists of RF and the Republic of Dagestan.
Competitiveness of students. Students become annual award winners of interacademic and all-Russian profile competitions and present reports and projects at conferences of different levels. Among students are scholarship winners of RF President, RF Government, Government of the Republic of Dagestan and other authorities. A large number of graduates do research and continue their education in the Master’s and Postgraduate programme. They are in high demand in the labour market because they master computer engineering, network technology and different programming languages.
Interaction with employers. Students have academic and work experience at the departments or laboratories of the University as well as in partner organizations. Training is carried out in cooperation with such high-tech organizations as JSC “Ruselectronics”, LLC “DAGINKOM”, JSC Research Institute "Sapphire", JSC “Azimut”, JSC “Gadzhiev Plant”.
After graduation, specialists are in-demand in all spheres of industry, education, health care system, management and business. Some are known in Russia and abroad as highly professional specialists.
