Accreditation. The program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2021.
Awards and achievements. The Quality Management System Certificate of Conformity issued by the Russian Register Certification Association, the professional-public accreditation certificate issued by the Medical League of Russia, the positive expert opinion of the chief freelance dentist of the Department of Healthcare of the Voronezh Region, the President of the regional non-governmental organization “Dental Association.”
Teaching staff. The educational program is delivered by 42 departments, including five specialized departments. 245 teachers out of 311 have academic degrees or titles, including 59 Doctors of Sciences, holders of the Russian Government Award, Honored Workers of
Higher Education and Honored Doctors of the RF.
Facilities and resources. VSMU has its dental clinic, phantom classrooms, 3D dental simulators, dental training laboratories, computer classrooms, lecture halls with state-of-the-art equipment.
Education. There is an electronic educational environment Moodle that contains complete study courses, modules, videos, textbooks, tests, computer programs. Video conferences are held using Webinar technology.
Research is performed on 17 interdisciplinary topics at Research Institute of Experimental Biology and Medicine of VSMU named after N.N. Burdenko. The university cooperates with advanced research and medical institutions.
Competitive advantages. The strategic partners of the Institute of Dentistry are Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I. Evdokimov, Saratov SMU, RUDN, Volgograd SMU, Belgorod State University, and others. The researchers at VSMU named after N.N. Burdenko implement joint research projects with the universities in Germany, Italy, China, the USA, Hungary, Turkey, Poland, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Among foreign partners are the medical faculty of the Humboldt University of Berlin, Charité University Clinic (Germany), Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany), Çukurova University in Adana (Turkey), Varna Medical University (Bulgaria), Harbin Medical University (China).
Employers and employment. At the moment the university monitors and informs its graduates about the federal and regional support programs for recent graduates. The university holds job fairs for senior students inviting heads of medical institutions as well as professional Olympiads.
