Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The program underwent external expert evaluation (the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the National Centre for Public Accreditation) and was ranked among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
BSMU took part in the independent and objective evaluation of students’ knowledge, co-hosted the Olympiad “I am a Professional” and hosted the Nizhnevolzhsky cluster Olympiads on Pharmacy. Students are winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad “I am a Professional.”
Teaching staff. The faculty comprises seven departments that employ 30 Professors, Doctors of Sciences, including 11 Doctors of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as well as 19 Candidates of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Teachers are participants of international scientific programs, members of Russian and international associations, editorial boards of medical journals, the Special Academic and Methodological Commission for Dentistry of the RF Ministry of Health.
Facilities and resources. The departments are located in a separate building of the faculty. Students undertake all kinds of internships at the university clinic pharmacy, the compounding pharmacies of Bashfarmatsia of the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan,
municipal pharmacies of Ufa, Farmland, Pharmstandart-UfaVita, Microgen. Students undertake educational pharmacognosy internships at the botanical garden institute of the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, the Herbs of Bashkiria company, the North-Caucasus
regional experimental station VILAR, the Raduga (Rainbow) plant collective farm (the Republic of Crimea).
Education. Active and interactive teaching methods are used. BSMU established the modern simulation center for the acquisition of practical skills. Students have access to the ELS. The best students are holders of the Russian President and the Russian Government scholarships in the priority national projects. Graduates can pursue PhD, medical residency and Master’s degrees.
Research. The faculty is famous for its innovative approach to interdisciplinary research and its scientific developments. Research is conducted in the field of production of new biologically active substances based on vegetable drugs and chemical synthetics, development of new drug dosage forms. Pharmacological, pharmacoeconomic, and pharmacoeconomic studies are also conducted. Over the years, 17 Doctors and more than 70 Candidates of Pharmaceutical Sciences have been trained.
Competitive advantages. Students undertake educational internships and work placements at the pharmacies of Bashfarmatsia of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Pharmstandart-UfaVita, Microgen with state-of-the-art analytical equipment, South-Ural Botanic Garden-Institute, the Institute of Botany of the Republic of Abkhazia (Sukhumi). In 2022, the Master’s program in Industrial Pharmacy was launched, where Master students can undergo practical training at Pharmstandart and Microgen.
Employers and employment. 100% of graduates are employed. The university’s cooperation with top regional enterprises such as the RB Ministry of Health of the Republic, RB Bashfarmatsia, municipal pharmacies in Ufa, Pharmland, Pharmstandart-UfaVita, Microgen, the RB and RF Ministries of Internal Affairs, the RAS) opens up the opportunities for students to find a job in their degree field. Students can combine their study and work, starting from the fourth year.
