Accreditation. State accreditation (Certificate № 2943 of November 14, 2018). Professional-public accreditation (the Medical League, Certificate № 034/19 of December 20, 2019).
Awards and achievements. The Preventive Medicine Faculty and the teaching staff of specialized hygiene departments were awarded a silver medal of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences “For the Development of Medicine and Healthcare” named after I.P. Pavlov.
Teaching staff. 67.2% of the teaching staff hold academic degrees. Practitioners are also engaged in the teaching process.
Facilities and resources. The university has state-of-the-art facilities and resources and laboratory equipment (multifunctional devices for measurements in ventilation systems, analyzers, meteorological meters, microscopes, spectrophotometers, etc.). Classrooms are equipped with training simulators, sets of tests and case problems related to practical classes.
Education. State-of-the-art educational models and technologies such as the educational portal, e-learning systems, e-learning resources, and business games are widely used.
Research. The research area is comprehensive evaluation of the influence of the living environment and labor conditions on public health: hygienic evaluation of population health risk of chemical substances contained in surface watercourses of rural agro-industrial
areas of the Saratov Region; hygienic aspects of labor conditions and their influence on the health of women engaged in present-day production of paper wallpaper; prediction of infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP) development taking into account anthropogenic factors of
atmospheric air pollution.
Competitive advantages. High-level admission requirements, highly qualified teaching staff, facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and computers — all this allows the university to train highly qualified hygiene and epidemiology specialists.
Employers and employment. Graduates are employed according to the approved career guidance event program agreed upon with the Federal Service of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), the
Ministries of Health of the Saratov, Penza, Voronezh, Bryansk, Moscow, Ulyanovsk Regions, and other regions.
The faculty has concluded employer-sponsored education agreements with the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor, the Federal Clinical Research Center of the FMBA, Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute “Microbe.”
