Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The program underwent external expert evaluation (the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the National Centre for Public Accreditation) and was recognized as the best program as part of the annual project Best
Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. BSMU of the Ministry of Health of the RF took part in the independent and objective evaluation of students’ knowledge, co-hosted the Olympiad “I am a Professional.”
Teaching staff. The faculty comprises 24 departments. Teachers are participants of international scientific programs, members of Russian and international associations, editorial boards of medical journals, specialized dissertation councils, special academic and
methodological commissions of the RF Ministry of Health, external experts of the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan. Among them are one Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, two Corresponding Members of the RAS, four Academicians of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, one Corresponding Member of the ASRB, one Professor of the ASRB.
Facilities and resources. The university comprises the multidisciplinary university clinic, the dental clinic, the central research laboratory, the cell culture laboratory, the biobank, the research library and four research institutes: rehabilitation medicine and health resort
study, oncology, cardiology, and new medical technologies. The university established the Federal accreditation center for the acquisition of practical skills that was assigned the 3rd (highest) level. The departments are located at the city and republican multidisciplinary and specialized medical institutions and at BSMU clinic.
Education. Teachers use state-of-the-art interactive educational technologies and digital training tools, including training of personnel for medicine of the future. The university has Digital Competency Profile system. Computer simulations, business games and role plays, clinical case studies are used. Training is provided at major medical institutions in Ufa fitted with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Research. The faculty is famous for its innovative approach to interdisciplinary research, participation in the study of the most important issues in medicine. The key scientific achievements are effectively introduced into practical healthcare thanks to the university
clinic with various medical centers that deliver specialized high-technology medical care. The Robotic Surgery Center performs surgeries using a daVinci robot.
Employers and employment. 97% of graduates are employed. The university graduate employment tracking is automated. The university launched the digital recruitment platform for students and graduates, established digital interaction with employers on the BSMU platform. Students can combine their study and work, starting from the fourth year of study. The university’s cooperation with medical organizations in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, CIS countries, and other countries opens up the opportunities for students to find a job, improve their professional skills. The university participates in Sberbank projects such as Speech Technology (SmartSpeech), Telemedicine, SberСloud. Students and teachers actively help medical institutions to fight the coronavirus, participate in the volunteer movement to help sick people, have government awards.
