Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2019 and professional-public accreditation in 2021.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by more than 300 teachers, including almost 200 Candidates and 50 Doctors of Medical Sciences, three Honored Science Workers of the RF,11 Distinguished Doctors of the RF, two Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy
of Medical Sciences. The scientific school of Professor A.F. Vinogradov – the founder of the faculty – is well-known far outside the Tver Region. Many teachers at the faculty work in practical healthcare, are chief external experts of the Ministry of Health of the Tver Region.
Education. At the moment more than 650 students are studying at the Faculty of Pediatrics. Classes are conducted at 41 departments, including four specialized departments of pediatrics, infantile diseases, outpatient pediatrics and neonatology, and pediatric surgery.
The educational process involves using information technologies, gaming methods of teaching, the point-rating system. As part of the education program, simulation training is provided at the multidisciplinary simulation and accreditation center.
The level of theoretical and practical skills allows the faculty graduates to be sought after by the leading clinics in Tver and the region as well as in other regions and abroad. While studying, students not only gain general professional knowledge, but also pursue science,
public activities, sports, and art. The student associations, the Council of Young Researchers, the Office of Pedagogical Work, and the cultural center help young people develop into a many-sided personality.
Competitive advantages. The profession of a pediatrician is one of the most responsible and important professions in any society. It is highly sought after by applicants wishing to devote themselves to medicine.
Employers and employment. Employers participate in developing the educational program and reviewing study programs, are members of the state examination board that performs state final certification of the faculty graduates. The Tver Office of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia regularly holds conferences in cooperation with the faculty and the Ministry of Health of the Tver Region. The faculty graduates have no trouble finding a job. After completing the residency they can become pediatricians or neonatologists or specialize in a narrow field, including various fields of therapy and surgery.
