Programme presentation. One of the most important tasks of the HEI is the integration of academic and educational processes in order to form humanism, civic conscious-ness, social activity, interpersonal skills, orientation towards professionalism as well as sense of pride in the Institute and its traditions. The activity of a modern teacher implies personal development, openness to social changes and innovative and forward-looking readiness for professional activity. Innovative thinking is the human capacity for meaningful analysis, reflection, planning, creative formulation and solution of new unconventional tasks. It is these qualities that should be incorporated in the model of a graduate in the pedagogical area of training and serve as the main component of a teacher’s job description.
An important role in forming a teacher’s personality is played by the educational environment. Taking this into account, the prospective plan for development of pedagogical education includes the implementation of IT, approbation of distant learning, enhancement of information and technological competence of the teaching staff, creation of e-learning materials and e-libraries support.
Teaching staff. The educational process is carried out by qualified teachers, most of which (more than 80%) are Candidates and Doctors of Sciences. Teachers have developed new teaching methods and participate in international and national conferences.
Competitiveness of students. The average passing grade of applicants in the Unified State Exam is rather high. The leadership competencies of applicants are evidenced by the prize winners’ diplomas of both republican and federal level.
Interaction with employers. This educational programme is approved and reviewed by regional employers. The image of a graduate is formed jointly with the representatives of the professional-pedagogic community in compliance with the requirements of the professional standard.
