Achievements. Students win scientific and professional contests of different levels, get personal scholarships for outstanding academic and research abilities. Graduates are successful and sought-after in the job market.

Teaching staff is highly qualified, has significant international research performance indicators, required practical experience. The educational process involves practitioners with a long record of service and prospective employers: practicing educational psychologists, heads of centers for psychological counseling and public organizations, social teachers, and experienced teachers and psychologists at kindergartens and schools.

Research is actively conducted at the department under the supervision of highly qualified teachers. The department actively cooperates with Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Volga Region Institute for Gestalt Therapy.

Education. The program aims to train competitive educational psychologists with professional excellence. The program is delivered from the perspective of a competency-based approach. The latest developments in Russian and foreign science in psychological and pedagogical education are used in the learning process. Students are engaged in a wide range of social and cultural practices as professional and personal enhancement tools.

Students actively use the resources of the Psychosocial Support Center of the University of Management "TISBI," the Republican Interuniversity Center for Work with People with Special Needs, established at the university, the laboratory of psychological and pedagogical technologies, the simulation laboratory "Psychologist's Room." The program is adapted for students with special needs. It comprises adaptive educational programs and modules. To deliver them, the university created an accessible learning environment, developed a unique concept of tutor support for students with special needs from their fellow students. The program provides for individual curricula and schedules of training handicapped people and people with special needs. The department maintains active cooperation with the Republican Interuniversity Center for Work with People with Special Needs, which allows students with disabilities not only to succeed in earning a degree but also adapt to society.

Strategic partners. The Ministry of Youth Affairs in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan republican public organization "Russian Youth Union," the Podrostok association of adolescent clubs at the place of residence, the Resurs city psychology and pedagogy center, the Tatarstan regional office of the Youth All-Russian public organization "Russian Student Brigades," the Rostok Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Rehabilitation and Correction, the Republican youth public organization Russian Army, Air Force and Navy Volunteer Society in the RT, over 30 educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.
