Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. Students and graduates are authors of papers in Russian Science Citation Index editions, holders of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation scholarships, participants and winners of the Lev Vygotsky International Contest, winners and laureates of all-Russian contests of graduation theses.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 29 teachers. Over 10% have an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences.
Facilities and resources. The university has state-of-the-art facilities and resources and an excellent learning environment for all student categories: classrooms for all kinds of classes, a research library, sports centers, dormitories, canteens, a medical center.
Researchareas include student-centered models in education, modernization of general, continuing and professional education, preserving and strengthening the family status in the context of modernization of Russian education, basic schools in the practice-oriented model of training Bachelors majoring in Psychology and Pedagogy. Every year the research findings are presented at the international research and practice online conference "Education and Today's Global Challenges: Scientific and Pedagogical Context."
Education. Collective engagement technology, project and research methods of teaching are actively used.
Strategic partners. As part of joint educational programs, NCFU strengthens contacts with Southern Federal University, V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. It maintains partner relationships with educational institutions of the Stavropol Territory.
International projects and programs. The department was the participant and winner of the Erasmus + KA107 project implemented jointly with KPH WIEN/KREMS.
Competitive advantages. Students are taught to perform the functions of a primary general education teacher and educational psychologist. Graduates are sought after by state and private educational institutions of different kinds, psychological services of educational institutions, methodology centers, psychological advisory centers subordinate to different departments, social, medical and psychological centers helping children and families.
