Russia ranks in TOP 5 in many areas of human activity. Let’s look at the most interesting areas:
The defense industry, aviation industry, and shipbuilding. Russia has the world’s second-largest (after the USA) military-industrial sector. It holds the top spot in many areas of production and technology.
Metro transport. Russia ranks fifth in the world by the total length of metro lines (after China, the USA, South Korea, and Japan). The Moscow Metro ranks fourth in the world by length, including Moscow Central Circle (after the Shanghai Subway, the Beijing Subway, and the London Tube, 2016), sixth in the world by the number of passengers, and seventh in the world by the number of stations (2015).
