Awards and achievements. Since 2014 this educational program has been recognized as one of the best by the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the National Centre for Public Accreditation as part of the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by the teaching staff of 20 departments, including eight Doctors of Sciences, Professors, 21 Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, 19 Candidates of Sciences, Assistants, 13 teachers from among current heads and employees of specialized organizations of the Samara Region. Teachers' scientific potential and considerable work experience in practical healthcare ensure a high professional level of future specialists’ competence.
Facilities and resources. Three specially equipped lecture halls, a self-access center, a computer classroom with internet access, a classroom with a special multimedia projection complex, two specialized university laboratories, a research laboratory, three specialized libraries, two specialized gyms.
Research. Students can join a scientific circle to conduct research and implement projects in the following areas: innovative technologies in nursing practice; development, improvement and scientific substantiation of mechanisms of using the potential of paramedical workers; quality of life in patients with different pathologies.
Education. Teachers widely use active and interactive teaching methods such as visualization lectures, business role-playing games (educational games), round table discussions, conference lectures, distance education technologies (video lectures). To hone their practical skills, students use 2D simulators.
Strategic partners. Orenburg State Medical University, Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky, Kazan State Medical University, Ryazan State Medical University named after academician I.P. Pavlov, the Ural Region universities.
International projects and programs. In cooperation with West Kazakhstan High Medicine College in Uralsk, as part of this educational program, the university offers the following majors: Innovations in Nursing Care; Organization of Health Schools; Team Training in Emergency Medical Care; Lean Technologies in Nursing Practice.
Competitive advantages. Internships are undertaken at the medical university's clinics, multidisciplinary preventive medicine organizations with laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, and other equipment, computer MRI scanners.
The university develops the system of continuing medical and pharmaceutical education, delivers continuing professional education programs.
