Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent expert evaluation carried out by the Samara Regional Pharmaceutical Association, which is confirmed by the corresponding certificate.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 18 Doctors of Sciences, Professors or Associate Professors, 33 Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors. The academic degree holders ratio is 89%.
Facilities and resources. Specially equipped lecture halls, a self-access center, two computer classrooms, 25 classrooms with multimedia projection complexes, 20 specialized laboratories and rooms (including a training pharmacy), one research laboratory (center), three specialized libraries, etc.
Research. The faculty boasts the leading academic pharmacy school. Research is related to the development of original natural and synthetic drugs, public drug supply improvement. The topic areas include pharmacognostic study and standardization of promising types of medicinal plant raw material, development of standard substances, technological, pharmacological and business aspects of the development of Russian drug products. The university conducts research on various kinds of medicinal plant raw materials and synthetic pharmaceutical substances with Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolev.
Education. Modular design principles are widely used.
Strategic partners. The top specialized universities; practical pharmacy representatives such as Ozon, Nizhpharm (Nizhny Novgorod), Biosintez (Penza), the Central Volga regional experimental station VILAR, Samaramedprom, Pranapharm, Vita, Pharmperspectiva, PharmSKD (Samara), etc.; the Samara Regional Center for Drug Certification and Quality Control.
International projects and programs. SamSMU is a member of the International Association for Medical Education in Europe. Partner universities: Goce Delcev University of Stip (North Macedonia), Heinrich Heine University Dusseldorf, the Hannover Medical School, University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Münster (Germany), Tashkent Medical Academy and Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, Vitebsk State Medical University, Paris-Sorbonne University, University François-Rabelais of Tours (the laboratory of plants and biotechnologies), National Engineering School of Saint-Étienne (joint research on additive technologies in medicine and biocompatibility of innovative materials).
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. The Department of International Relations is responsible for the university's international scientific and educational activities, implements joint international projects.
