Awards and achievements. Among graduates are heads, deputy heads, and heads of departments of the Directorate of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) in various constituent entities of the Russian Federation. For several years students have become winners and prize-winners of all-Russian student Olympiads on Epidemiology and Hygiene, the All-Russian Olympiad "I am Professional."
Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 75.8% (31 Sc.D-s, 22 Professors).
Facilities and resources. The program is delivered by 38 university departments. The university's facilities and resources include computer classrooms with internet access, classrooms and specialized classrooms with industry-specific demonstration equipment, laboratories, practical skills training centers. Research. The key research area is public health protection regarding sanitary and epidemiological measures aimed at ensuring people’s sanitary and epidemiological well-being, preserving and improving their health. Research is conducted in partnership with research institutes of hygiene as well as healthcare and sanitary and epidemiological authorities.
Education. Teachers widely use innovative methods, interactive learning activities, information resources and databases, multimedia and simulation equipment, laboratory practicals. Major subjects are taught not only at the university but also at the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, healthcare organizations, pre-school and educational institutions, housing and utility facilities, food processing facilities, and industrial enterprises.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the top Russian medical universities and Rospotrebnadzor's organizations, including the Directorate of Rospotrebnadzor for the Ryazan Region and the Hygiene Center in the Ryazan Region, healthcare organizations in the Ryazan Region.
International projects and programs. Every year students take part in international conferences and conferences with international participation, publish their research findings. In particular, they publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals on the list of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles.
