Awards and achievements of the educational program. The teaching staff of the program implement projects funded by the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation. The Program Director A.V. Filimonov is awarded the second-class Order of Merit for the Motherland and the Medal of Merit for his services to Pskov.

Teaching staff. The teachers involved in the program delivery are highly qualified. All of them have extensive experience of teaching at HEIs. All the teachers hold academic degrees and titles: two Doctors of Sciences, Professors, one Candidate of Science, Professor, 11 Candidates of Sciences. The teaching staff regularly improve their qualification at research institutions. The Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the RussianAcademy of Sciences is the university strategic partner in this respect.

University partners within the educational program. The State Archive of the Pskov Region, the PskovArchaeologicalCenter, the Faculty of History of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, and BelarusianStateUniversity.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Alumni from the program are employed at museums, archives, archaeological centers, committees, administrative authorities of the Pskov Region and the city of Pskov. At their workplace they usually deal with the protection of historical and cultural monuments. In 2016 a student research work of S. Yusupkina was top ranked in the Humanitarian Studies contest. In 2015 two students of the Faculty of History V. Koshelkov and P. Volkhovsky were ranked second and third in the all-Russian olympiad in history.

Facilities and resources. The faculty has its own library, computer classrooms, assembly room, laboratory for historic and cultural heritage, catering facilities. Non-resident students are accommodated at a comfortable dormitory. Students may also apply for social and academic scholarships. The university has its own medical center, preventive clinic, a few sports halls, a gym, a swimming pool, numerous sports clubs, the Center of Student Initiatives, event halls, student TV, a student newspaper, numerous performance groups.

Opportunities for students. Students have an opportunity to be trained by an individual learning trajectory based on an individual curriculum. In the course of studies students undergo different kinds of practical training sessions: archive (museum-educational), pedagogical (at secondary schools and HEIs), research and educational (at the Faculty of History), research (in archives and libraries), predegree training. Some training sessions are hosted by VitebskStateUniversity named after P.M. Masherov. All the practical training sessions aim to develop practically applicable students’ competencies, and all of them are related to the themes of their graduation theses.
