Teaching staff. High quality of professional training is ensured by the teaching staff comprising eight Doctors of Sciences and 20 Candidates of Sciences. The teachers involved in the program delivery regularly enhance their competencies at the leading universities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and educational institutions abroad. Practitioners and employers’ representatives are also involved in the educational process.
Altai State University offers two more best educational programs in the field of Humanities:
University partners within the educational program. Students enrolled in the program specialize in psychological support of the employment activity of law enforcement officers. The faculty actively collaborates with the Head Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Altai Territory, the Directorate of the Federal Marshals Service of Russia in the Altai Territory, the Head Department of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters in the Altai Territory.
Alumni’s achievements. The faculty’s prominent alumni include I. Selezneva, Director of the Karitas+ center of family and child psychological support, I. Savina, Psychologist of the Kuzbasenergo heat company, Ya. Sheveleva, Head of the Personnel Department in the Altai Service trading company, A.Kropachev, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Forensic Psychologist of the Central District Court of Barnaul; O.Polishchuk, Chief Psychologist of Sberbank.
Facilities and resources. Material and technical resources of the university are adequately complied with the modern standards. Teaching and learning process is delivered in fully equipped classrooms: five computer classrooms, four multimedia classrooms, a laboratory of psychological physiology and psychognosis.
Opportunities for students. Students enrolled in the program undergo their practical training at the Head Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Altai Territory, the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Altai Territory, the Head Department of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters in the Altai Territory, the Directorate of the Federal Marshals Service of Russia in the Altai Territory, emergency and rehabilitation centers of Barlnaul and the Altai Territory.
Employment prospects. Graduates from the program are well-demanded in defense and law enforcement services (the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). Their job functions usually include organization consultancy (coaching), personnel recruiting, training and development, psychological support, psychological expertise in court, psychological support rendered to people affected by emergencies, etc.
