Awards and achievements of the educational program. The Law Faculty was accredited by the professional-public accreditor, the Association of Lawyers of the Russian Federation. The university is a member of the Association of Law Schools of the Russian Federation. The Best in Education international encyclopedia (2017) under the heading “Reward and Recognition Board” features R.F. Stepanenko, A.B. Meziaev, S.N. Druzhkov; and the They Will Make the Future section lists A.A. Akhmadullin, a student of the Law Faculty, and R.F. Liagin, a postgraduate student of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law.
Teaching staff. The teaching staff are highly qualified, have extensive experience and good indicators of research activity. Fifty-five educators are involved in the program delivery including 16 Doctors of Sciences, Professors, 32 Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, and seven Senior Teachers.
University partners within the educational program. Students can be employed at the entities where they undergo their practical training: the Bar Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Public Prosecution Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, courts, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of Federal Tax Service in the Republic of Tatarstan, the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Volga Federal District, the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Emergencies Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Interregional Environmental Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Customs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Alumni’s achievements. Program alumni demonstrate steady career development in various fields of law enforcement. The competitive advantage of the faculty is a wide range of employment opportunities offered to students.
Facilities and resources. The university occupies a building in the center of Kazan. It has a library, a reading hall, a gym, a dancing school, two assembly halls, catering facilities. Computer classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art computer hardware and licensed software. The university information environment is supported by the internet connection via three fast channels of data communication.
Opportunities for students. The educational process at the Law Faculty is implemented using innovative teaching methods, workshops conducted by the leading specialists, scholars and practitioners of the contemporary legal science. Some lectures are delivered in English. Students improve their professional competencies and skills during their practical training sessions in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, etc. Upon completing their Bachelor’s program students can pursue their Master’s degree in Law at the University of Management “TISBI” or partner universities abroad.
