The teachers of the department are frequent winners of grants provided by the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. In 2013 the joint grant of the European Parliament and the State Duma of the Russian Federation “Young Leaders of Russia” was implemented and students underwent the course of studies in Brussels.
Teaching staff. Five Doctors of Sciences, 10 Candidates of Sciences. Representatives of government authorities, business, and consulting agencies, experienced IT practitioners, heads of IT enterprises, the head of the department of the Municipal Property Management Committee of the Stavropol Administration are also engaged in the educational process.
University partners within the educational program. Kuban State University, North Ossetian State University named after K.L. Khetagurov, the Higher School of Economics, Volgograd State Technical University, and others.
Students’ and alumni’s achievements. The department has trained 36 alumni within the program. Many of them work as leading specialists at large IT and banking enterprises. All alumni are employed.
Facilities and resources. NCFU has all the facilities and resources required to offer its students proper learning opportunities: 17 academic buildings, comfortable dormitories, a research library, and gyms. Students can attend specialized sports clubs and creative studios and use services of the Alumni Employment and Student Career Planning Center.
Opportunities for students. The university has introduced new educational technologies for electronic courses based on Learning Management Systems; they are applied in the educational process as training simulators. Professional retraining in the field of digital marketing communications and improvement of business processes is provided.
The department has completed academic exchange agreements with Russian and foreign universities: Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Heinrich Heine University (Germany), with federal universities of Russia.
