Accreditation. The faculty successfully undergoes professional-public accreditation on a regular basis. The last accreditation procedure took place in 2021.
Awards and achievements. According to the results of the specialist training state assignment placement contest held by the Russian Government, the faculty entered the prestigious first group “A.”
Teaching staff. Training is provided at 45 theoretical and clinical departments. The department employ more than 450 teachers, including Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Distinguished Doctors of the RF, Honored Science Workers of
the RF, and Honored Workers of Higher Education of the RF.
Facilities and resources. Classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and technical teaching aids. Individual study rooms have computers with internet access and access to the electronic information educational environment of the university. Students with disabilities are provided with printed and (or) e-learning resources adapted to their disabilities.
Education. The mode of study is full-time. The course of study lasts six years. Students pursue full-time studies, and there are different distance learning options. The educational process involves using information technologies, gaming methods of teaching, the pointrating system. While studying, students not only gain general professional knowledge, but also pursue science, public activities, sports, and art. The student associations, the Council of Young Researchers, the Office of Pedagogical Work, and the cultural center help young people develop into a many-sided personality.
Research. Students read professional literature, study the achievements of Russian and foreign science and technology, prepare scientific abstracts (literature reviews), participate in research, collect, process, analyze and arrange scientific data on the subject, draw up
reports on the subject, prepare reports and speak at conferences, prepare for the publication of research papers (articles, talk abstracts), and do research internships.
Employers and employment. The program was highly valued by employers and recognized as compliant with the professional standards and the job market requirements for specialists in the relevant field. Students who have completed the General Medicine program can work in more than 100 medical specialties. They are in high demand in the job market.
