Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The program underwent external expert evaluation (the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the National Centre for Public Accreditation) and was ranked among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
Students are winners and diploma winners of scientific contests such as UMNIK, HealthNet, the All-Russian project contest RosMolodezh, the youth forum iVolga, holders of the Russian President scholarship and the scholarship from the Head of Bashkortostan.
Teaching staff. Teachers are members of professional associations, editorial boards of medical journals, special academic and methodological commissions of the RF Ministry of Health, dissertation councils, participants of international scientific projects, projects and
conferences.
Facilities and resources. Students are trained at specialized institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, including Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Education. About 50 departments train specialists in health protection to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the public, including surveillance in the sphere of consumer rights protection. The university established the Federal accreditation center for the acquisition of practical skills that was assigned the 3rd (highest) level. Students have access to the ELS. Active and interactive teaching methods (computer simulations, business games and role plays, clinical case studies) are used.
Research is conducted as part of industry-specific and regional programs of the RAS, the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, Rospotrebnadzor in the field of scientific substantiation of public health risk minimization in Russia; evaluation of reproductive function; aspects of children and adolescents’ physical development.
Competitive advantages. Prospective specialists undertake educational internships and work placements at major medical and preventive treatment institutions in Ufa and the republic as well as the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor with state-of-the-art diagnostic, laboratory and therapeutic equipment.
Employers and employment. 96% of graduates are employed. The university’s cooperation with the regional specialized enterprises (the Directorate of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology, the Republican Disinfection Center, and others) opens up the opportunities for students to find a job in their degree field, improve their professional skills, participate in real projects and developments. As part of practical training, students helped the specialized organizations fight the new coronavirus infection. Of them, three people were awarded the letters of appreciation from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, six people received the letters of appreciation from the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, six people received the letters of appreciation from the Rospotrebnadzor Directorate, and four people received the letters of appreciation from the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
