Awards and achievements. The program in General Medicine has been frequently ranked among laureates of the All-Russian project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. The program successfully underwent state accreditation.
Ivanovo State Medical Academy was accredited by the Medical Councils of India and Thailand as an educational institution recommended for training in General Medicine. The medical school “Ivanovo State Medical Academy, Ivanovo State Medical Institute named
after A.S. Bubnov” is included into the World Directory of Medical Schools—FAIMER SCHOOL ID: F0000076 (search.wdoms.org/home/SchoolDetail/F0000076).
Teaching staff. The educational program is delivered by highly qualified teachers, including Doctors and Candidates of Sciences (over 75%). Many of them are holders of various state and social awards. The heads of healthcare organizations are invited to deliver lectures and give classes.
Facilities and resources. The clinical facilities are provided by multidisciplinary medical institutions of Ivanovo and the clinic of Ivanovo State Medical Academy with state-of-the-art equipment.
Education. Students can master essential practical skills at the simulation and accreditation center equipped with simulators and robotized manikins. Students of the Faculty of General Medicine are winners of All-Russian and international
olympiads and competitions: the Second International Student’s Olympiad in Bukhara, the Third International Practical Olympiad in Kursk; the large-scale educational Olympiad “I am a Professional,” contests “University Knowledge,” “Quality Education” in the category of
Biological Sciences, and many others.
Strategic partners. To implement the healthcare staffing programs, the academy actively cooperates with the executive bodies of nine constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The academy also maintains collaboration with the universities of Uzbekistan and Latvia.
Research. Teachers conduct research in five main areas covering current issues in modern medicine. The clinical departments adopt modern scientific approaches to healthy family development; new methods of prevention, prognosis, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with various pathologies.
Competitive advantages. The academy has a highly professional team of like-minded colleagues, a union of young and skilled educators with work experience in practical healthcare introducing the most modern educational technologies into the learning process.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. Since 2018 ISMA has been offering mediator language-taught training programs to international students.
