The specialists in these fields are in demand in the world scientific community and at many enterprises in Russia and abroad.

Programme presentation. The research themes of the department’s students are in line with the investigations of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The students obtain knowledge required in the field of advanced technologies and science-intensive manufacturing. The Department’ graduates have been actively involved in the following scientific developments: in the field of medicine, nanotechnologies and X-ray technologies – light-dose digital X-ray equipment, nuclear-physical methods of cancer treatment, creation of the new generation of drugs based on nanotechnologies; in the field of counter-terrorism security systems – the latest technologies based on synchrotron radiation, etc.

Novosibirsk State Technical University offers two more best educational programs in the field of Physical and Mathematical Sciences:

MATHEMATICAL SUPPORT AND ADMINISTRATION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS - Bachelor’s program

APPLIED MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE - Bachelor’s program, Master’s program

Teaching staff. The teaching staff includes nine Doctors of Sciences, seven Candidates of Sciences, one Academician of RAS.
