HEI’s image. The HEI carries out training of highly qualified managers in compliance with modern needs of the society and world standards of the development of harmonious personality with high social responsibility.

Programme presentation. The educational activity in this area has been carried out since 2000, since then more than 500 students have graduated. The Faculty consists of 7 Departments, Stavropol Regional Office of the Centre of Social Policy and Agricultural Development Monitoring, the Laboratory of Information and Communication Technologies, the Laboratory of Marketing Research Marke Terra and others. The training of personnel is carried out within the postgraduate programme in “Economics and National Economy Management”. In 2014 the programme underwent state accreditation and international public-professional accreditation by the National Centre for Public Accreditation.

Teaching staff. At the Faculty there are 102 teachers including 26 Doctors of Sciences. 91% of staff have academic degrees and titles, 23% are practitioners. The delivery of the project TEMPUS-TACIS “Internationalization of Economic Education in SSAU” allowed over 30% of the teachers to undergo internships in Russian and foreign HEIs.

Competitiveness of students. Students of the Faculty have an opportunity to obtain a double Master’s degree: the MBA diploma in Agricultural Business “AGRIMBA” and the Master’s diploma in the areas “Management” or “Economy” of SSAU. Education is delivered in cooperation with WageningenUniversity (Netherlands). Over 90% of students are involved in research work. Many of them are winners and prize winners of national and regional contests including the contests for best research work among students, postgraduates and young researchers of the HEIs of the Ministry of Agriculture in “Management” nominations, grants and medals of the national exhibition of research and technical creativity of youth and the U.M.N.I.K programme.

Interaction with employers. Every year the basic study programme is proved to be consistent with major employers of agricultural and other industries. Within contracts with major companies – strategic partners of the Faculty – joint education of students at production site is carried out involving leading managers.
