Programme presentation. The programme is aimed at training high quality managers in the sphere of public administration capable of solving all kinds of professional tasks in the context of the Far East Region which is characterized by its own specific features in the socio-economic development. The students enrolled in the programme can benefit from a number of competitive advantages: a certified system of education services quality management and international certification. Contemporary teaching methods and information technologies are actively used in the process. Teaching and tutoring is efficiently organized.

Teaching staff. High quality of education and the labour market demands are well met by the qualified teaching staff capacity. Over 70% of the teaching staff are Candidates of Sciences and 14.3% are Doctors of Sciences.

Competitiveness of students. Students get an opportunity to undertake internship at the Government of the Russian Federation, Executive Bodies of the Far Eastern Federal District, at partner-universities abroad. The students are offered an optional professional foreign language translation course. In programme development, we take into consideration the employment requirements of the state administration and self-governing authorities which need specialists with complex knowledge of the regional management.

The graduates develop the skills of analysis, prognostication, social and economic development design and social process management. The quality of the skills and competencies developed allows the students to work successfully at the executive authorities of the border territories and implement the state policy of Russia’s integration with Asia-Pacific countries.

Interaction with employers. Major directions of the employers’ involvement in the developing and correcting educational programmes are: coordination of the curriculum; request for graduation qualification papers (on specified topics); participation in the work of the State Examination Committee; participation of experienced practitioners in conducting classes, round table discussions, conferences and other events.
